Overview

Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the various electronic gaming devices as manufacturers update and create new machines and equipment necessary to service and repair machines.  Apply this knowledge to the ongoing slot maintenance program set forth by Management.  Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures. 

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Thunder Valley Casino’s "Winning Attitude" Company-wide culture and demonstrating Thunder Valley Casino’s AAA Four Diamond Service Standards at all times.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs/maintenance on all slot machines and related or associated equipment.
  • Assist in the preventative maintenance of all slot machines and related equipment, including but not limited to changers, signs, carts and NRT’s.
  • Move slot machines and handle installations, conversions, and removals.  Install and remove signage.
  • Keep Slot Shop clean and all working areas safe.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of video and slot machines and related/associated equipment.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of completed work.
  • Comply with all signatory requirements.
  • Comply with all Slot Department policies and provide constructive feedback to Slot Department Management on necessary changes and improvements.
  • Ability to have clear, friendly and positive communication with internal and external guests.
  • Be aware of and updated on all upcoming events and promotions. Demonstrate an understanding and awareness of the Player’s Card Program.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years experience in Slot Machine repair/maintenance. 
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School education or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Tribal License to work in the casino.
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
  • Have basic knowledge of electronics.
  • Have knowledge of the setup of slot and video machines and Player Tracking Systems.
  • Be able to multi task while still maintaining a positive attitude and a smile!
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and management in both written and verbal form.
  • Have basic math skills.
  • Have basic computer skills.
  • Maintain positive and effective working relationships with other team members, management, guests and other departments.
  • Have working knowledge of Title 31 requirements and internal control policies.
  • Follow all Responsible Gaming Guidelines.  For example, self-limiting requests and checking identifications for individuals who appear under 30 years of age.
  • Understand and practice Thunder Valley’s Core Values.
  • Understand and comply with all company and department rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
