Overview

Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures.  Responsibilities include providing friendly and efficient service to internal and external Guests, and supervising during a daily shift of the slot floor operation.  Responsibilities also include directing Lead Floor Supervisors and Slot Ambassadors.  Properly implement all Title 31 procedures and observe and safeguard company assets.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Thunder Valley Casino’s “Winning Attitude” Company-wide culture and demonstrating Thunder Valley Casino’s AAA Four Diamond Service Standards at all times.
  • Understands Thunder Valley Casino’s philosophies and works effectively to implement them.  Acts, in relation to Team Members and Guests, in a manner consistent with the interests of Thunder Valley Casino.
  • Administers Slot Department policies.  Provides constructive feedback to Slot Department Management on necessary changes and improvements.
  • Ability to have clear and open, friendly and positive communication with internal and external Guests.
  • Provide long term direction and goals to the shift’s Team Members.
  • Supervise, coach, counsel and discipline the performance of all subordinate positions.  Supports job coaches in orientation, training and evaluation of new Team Members.
  • Ability to maintain high morale through support, appreciation and development of Team Members.
  • Must be able to perform functions of subordinate positions.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to provide Team Members with direct, accurate and useful information on upcoming events or policy changes.
  • Comply and verify all signatory controls, including jackpot/fill tickets, check in/out sheets verification, Title 31 paperwork, paid in/out slips, key control logs and radio sign out logs.
  • Efficiently process all requests for overrides on jackpots and fills.
  • Understand and be aware of the Players Club Rewards Program.
  • Ability to complete guest requests for benefits, such as comps, using the CMS Player Tracking System.
  • Be aware and updated on all upcoming events and promotions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Thorough understanding of Title 31 requirements and their daily implications for the slot floor.  For example, all acceptable or unacceptable currency transactions, logging requirements, MTLs and CTRCs. 
  • Follow all Responsible Gaming Guidelines.  For example, self-limiting requests and checking identification for individuals who appear under 30 years old.
  • Demonstrates ability to coach, develop, counsel and discipline subordinates.
  • Understand, comply with and implement all company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Manual dexterity to work with computer keyboard, machine locks, and small tools to repair minor machine malfunctions.  Ability to use equipment such as: currency counter, calculator, telephone, and hand held radio, or other electronic devices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Maintain positive and effective working relationships with Team Members, Guests and other departments.
  • Handle guest opportunities in a positive and professional manner.  Make decisions in the best interest of our guests and Thunder Valley Casino.
  • Coordinate with Security and Surveillance Departments to detect and prevent individuals attempting to cheat, damage or steal from any gaming devices.
  • Ability to attend and pass Thunder Valley’s internal Alcohol Awareness training course; recognize guest intoxication.
  • Control labor costs to maintain budget standards.
  • Understanding and practice of service standards and core values.  Direct subordinates to follow these concepts.
  • Regularly practice Winning Attitude.  Encourage subordinates to follow same principles in every aspect of their jobs.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Two years experience as a Lead Floor Supervisor or above.
