Overview

The Entertainment Coordinator will support the members of the Entertainment team to ensure that the company’s entertainment needs are being met. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “Winning Attitude” company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
  • Assist with overseeing all non-ticketed entertainment held on property.
  • Coordinate with Catering, Banquets, Hotel, Transportation, Security, Marketing and other internal departments to fulfill entertainment needs for events on and off property.
  • Assist with the execution of non-ticketed entertainment acts booked on property. Be on-site throughout the duration of each event.
  • Perform administrative assignments at the direction of the Entertainment Director, including creating entertainment contracts, reviewing and revising contracts, and obtaining fully executed contracts from performers.
  • Assist with the creation of a calendar of all entertainment events, and communicate each event to the property.
  • Support the role of liaison between the property and external parties including entertainment vendors, talent buyers, talent agencies, and artist management companies along with tour road management.
  • Assist with the coordination of ground transportation travel, catering and hospitality needs, and hotel and room requests for performers.
  • Assist with the coordination with local media regarding media related requests.
  • Assist with the coordination of event-day duties including creating security documents, processing wristbands, stamps, scanners, merchandising, and artist meet-and-greets.
  • Assist with the coordination of venue preparation including, but not limited to seat placement, seat labeling, row labeling, seat and row straightening, removal and installation of entertainment gear and signage.
  • Provide personalized service to Guests purchasing concert or special event tickets.
  • Provide information to Guests regarding concert schedule, ticket availability, ticket prices, seat selections, and payment options.
  • Assist qualified Guests in contacting their Casino Hosts to obtain complimentary tickets when applicable.
  • Accurately perform sales transactions on the established point-of-sale (POS) terminal in accordance with policy and procedures. Print specific tickets, make changes, enter credit card information and issue receipts appropriate to the transactions.
  • Prepare and distribute concert and event tickets to Guests who have purchased them or have been issued complimentary tickets and have arranged to pick them up at the “Will Call” window.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of experience as an Events Coordinator or equivalent position in the entertainment industry. Experience in concert coordination is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and establish and meet deadlines
  • Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals in a productive and effective manner.
  • Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with artists, bands, vendors, property management, and UAIC Government.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, Team Members and management in English in both written and verbal form.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including holidays, weekends and evenings.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
