  • Overview

    The Analyst works with the Planning & Analysis Manager and property management in supporting the planning and analysis function to include the annual plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly operating review, marketing analysis, and other operating analysis as needed. Responsible for the preparation of internal and external marketing programs and financial analysis. Responsible for analyzing and compiling supporting documentation, analysis and presentation preparation. Designs and implements financial models used in analysis of marketing programs and labor analysis for the property. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

     

    Essential Functions

    • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Thunder Valley Casino’s "Winning Attitude" Company-wide culture and demonstrating AAA Four Diamond at all times.
    • Will lead analysis projects, supervise the data collection and report writing, and prepare summaries and recommendations based on the data.
    • Perform and review labor analysis to determine the effectiveness and productivity of property operations.
    • Review analysis of marketing programs to determine the effectiveness and cost/benefit of promotions, including bus programs.
    • Analysis work may be for any area of the casino including Special Projects not related to a specific department. Will be responsible for the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of all data.
    • Responsible for the production of management reports such as business indicator and labor productivity information as requested.
    • Review financial and statistical reports and assess area competition and its effects on the property.
    • Perform analysis of payroll in comparison with total revenues and departmental revenues.
    • Provide information and reports to the Director of Finance and property management in an accurate and timely fashion.
    • Analyzes performance of the gaming floor, food & beverage outlets, and hotel.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
    • Three (3) to five (5) years of Accounting/Financial Analysis experience.
    • Excellent PC and spreadsheet skills.
    • SQL experience preferred.
    • Must be able to articulate the research findings and results to Executives and make recommendations based on those results.
    • Understanding of data storage and an ability to read queries and extract data from the systems.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills. Detail oriented, innovative, flexible, thorough task oriented, can work independently with minimal direction
    • Prefer gaming experience.
    • Must be flexible, able to handle multiple tasks, and establish priorities effectively.
    • Must be able to obtain gaming work card for the jurisdiction in which the property is located
    • Must be able to access all areas of the casino as part of the requirements to perform duties as listed above.
    • Flexible working hours and schedule required.
