  • Overview

    The Security Dispatch Officer communicates effectively on the radio, in writing, on the phone, and in the Security Department’s iTrak System and relays all information to the Shift Supervisor or Assistant Shift Supervisor. He/she is responsible for ensuring daily duties, shift schedule, and incoming requests for service are completed in a timely manner.


    Essential Functions

    • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Thunder Valley Casino’s "Winning Attitude" Company-wide culture and demonstrating Thunder Valley Casino’s AAA Four Diamond Service Standards at all times.
    • Maintains familiarity of all public areas, Team Member service areas and company grounds.
    • Maintains a daily logs of all activities on his/her shift (e.g. Lost & Found logs, Dispatch Logs, etc.)
    • Reports and takes action as directed by Director of Security, Security Manager, Shift Supervisor or Assistant Shift Supervisor with respect to all suspicious or unusual situations.
    • Documents all incidents as directed by Director of Security, Security Manager, Shift Supervisor and Assistant Shift Supervisor.
    • Maintains a working knowledge of Security Incident Reports.
    • Maintains a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
    • Practices teamwork, supporting fellow Team Members and creating an energized, positive work atmosphere.
    • Knows location of Safety Data Sheet booklet for assigned area.
    • Listens and accurately documents information in iTRak Daily Log as well as other formats.
    • Operates company vehicles responsibly and in accordance with all driving regulations and laws, while remaining alert and aware of any road hazards.
    • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of services that Security provides to guests and Team Members.
    • Demonstrates and practices working knowledge of company policies, procedures, regulations and all applicable laws.
    • Keeps Dispatch reliefs, on-coming Shift Supervisors and Assistant Shift Supervisors informed of any and all relevant information.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Knowledge of emergency procedures, including, but not limited to, fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
    • High school diploma or successful completion of a GED Certificate.
    • At least 21 years of age.
    • Ability to pass the company’s in-house Alcohol Awareness class.
    • Valid California driver’s license.
    • CPR/AED certification highly desired.
    • Ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Ability to remain organized and calm, and perform effectively in stressful situations, utilizing rational thinking and decision making while remaining professional and courteous.
    • Knowledge of iTrak Daily Log, 10-codes, and phonetic alphabet.
